Eliftical word is word that can be used to avoid the usage of the same verb in one sentence.

Eliftical words are: so/too, either/neither

·         So/too is used to avoid the usage of the same verb in one sentence when the sentence is positive one.

·         Either/neither is usage to avoid the usage of the same verb in one sentence when the sentence is negative one.

 Example:

So/too

1.     I am at home.
      You are at home.
      I am at home and you are too.
      I am at home and so are you.

2.     They go to school.
      I go to school.
      They go to school and I do too.
      They go to school and so do I.

3.     We took an apple.
       She took an apple.
      We took an apple and She did too.
      We took an apple and so did she.
Either/neither

I am not at home.
You are not at home.
I am not at home and you are not either.
I am not at home and neither are you.

They do not go to school.
I do not go to school.
They do not go to school and I do not either.
They do not go to school and neither do I.

We did not take an apple.
She did not take an apple.
We did not take an apple and She did not either.
We did not take an apple and neither did she.
